Support is available for newly-appointed professors and international post-docs in the member institutions as well as their partners. Subject to consultation and depending on available capacities, services may also be offered to partners of newly-appointed managerial staff in higher-level positions in the central administration of member organisations, as well as junior group leaders in non-university research establishments.
Career orientation and job research support
In an extensive initial interview, either in person or by phone, we will explain our modes of support, discuss your career perspectives and other questions you may have, and decide on further measures together. To enable us to prepare the best-possible consultation, we would ask you to complete and return the Contact form (PDF).
We will then contact you with information about prospective employment opportunities in the region and details of preferred application profiles from partners in the network.
With your agreement, the DCNN will subsequently contact potential employers and ask them to appraise the suitability of your CV/qualification profile to an already advertised or future position. If the potential employer is interested, we will put you in touch with them.
If you should find an interesting post while you are searching for employment, we will be happy to strengthen your application with a letter of endorsement.
